The Ghost Ship Fire

1. The Ghost Ship Warehouse was a large empty warehouse that became a makeshift apartment complex, of sorts, for artists. It was composed of a large central stage and many small living spaces for artists willing to pay rent to stay there.
2. a. The cause of the fire was an overloading of electrical equipment that caught fire and ran through many of the residents rooms to supply electrical  power.
    b. There were many victims due to the convoluted escape route and cluttered pathways that couldn't find their way out. There was a back staircase that could've been an alternate escape route but was led no where near an exit on the first floor
3. The Triangle Fire and the Ghost ship fire were very similar in the ways it trapped its victims and how the fire spread so quickly. Both had two pathways from the higher level to the lower level, but in both situations only one was useable for escape. Both fires also occurred in locations were fuel for the fire was in abundance, one having a lot of cloth and flammable dust, the other having primarily wooden structures and objects.
